Erik and Sarah’s Garden Wedding at Paso Robles Inn

Sarah and Erik decided to take their vows under a large oak tree in the gardens of Paso Robles Inn.  The weather in July can be quite hot in northern San Luis Obispo County but their day was truly blessed with a comfortable temperature  and a slight breeze.

Sarah and Erik wanted to keep their wedding simple and wanted to keep the pictures candid and relaxed and so my assistant and I enjoyed taking a few steps back and clicking in more of a photo-journalistic style.  I absolutely adore some of the sweet expressions and moments we were able to capture.

I love what one of the bridesmaids said in the toasts, “Erik and Sarah are always best together.  When you get Sarah, you get Erik and when you get Erik you get Sarah and that is just the way it is and should be.”  Some weddings just leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling.  Not that this couple is fluffy in any way but the love between them was genuine and it was obvious that their friends and family adored them both and respected their love for each other.  I love photographing eyes brimming with tears of joy and I saw that through my lens several times throughout this lovely day.

Another sweet love story.  Thank you Erik and Sarah for the privilege of capturing these moments for you.  Also thank you for  your easy going natures.  I love the confidence and freedom you gave me throughout your day to capture the moments without interrupting the flow.  It was truly a pleasure to be your wedding photographer.

Enjoy!  What a lovely way to begin your journey as Husband and Wife.

I love this unique way to present cupcakes!  So darling!  Also Paso Inn Dining provided the most delicious meal and of course they have a beautifully elegant reception room.Sarah and Erik hired “The One Night Band” live band!  I am not exaggerating when I say everyone was on the dance floor!   I can’t say enough good things about Matt Cross Music!

Congratulations Sarah and Erik!

Nick and Kristin’s Wedding at Portola Inn in Atascadero California

You probably remember Kristin and Nick’s fun engagement pictures.  These two are just an adorable duo and so when I heard they were planning a travel themed wedding I knew I was going to be in for a treat.

The historic Portola Inn in Atascadero, California was a beautiful setting as always.  The  huge oak trees serve as a canopy for the ceremony and dining areas.  Also Kristin and Nick asked the owner who also happens to be Atascadero’s  Mayor to be the officiant and he wore a wonderful historic suit with tails.

Kristin and Nick decided to have a “first look” so they could spend more time with their guests and the Portola Inn has a beautiful arched gate that works perfect for this. Kristin added so many fun details.  I loved that each table was named with a destination that the couple had enjoyed vacations at and everywhere you looked there was fun travel decor.

Kristin’s smile is contagious and together these two are just overflowing with personality.  Enjoy all the amazing theme ideas and soak in the pure happiness of this adorable couple.

This lovely charm pin was given to the bride by one of the bridesmaids.  It serves as something borrowed and something blue and they pinned it on to her slip.  What a sweet keepsake!
Don’t get me wrong I can easily get caught up in all the fun decor, flowers, dresses etc that are part of the wedding day but when all is said and done a wedding is truly a celebration of family.  Moments shared between loved ones as they gather together to celebrate the beginning of a new family are truly  the heart of every wedding.  The exchange between bride and grandmother here was truly priceless!  I admit I was misty eyed as I captured this.
Three generations placed their hands together and guess what…. without any coaxing on my part they naturally formed a heart!!  LOVE!
Even though these two enjoyed a first look the first look coming down the aisle is still so special!Yes the light is like this every afternoon at Portola Inn.   This venue is a photographers dream!

AMS Entertainment provided the Music and sound

Arlyne’s Flowers of Atascadero

KK’s Bundt Cake and Cassie’s Custom Cakes

Central Coast Trolley provided transportation to the venue

Phillip and Alaina’s Spanish Oaks Ranch Wedding – North San Luis Obispo

Phillip and Alaina are the type of couple that just seems completely in love.  Whenever they are together they are always passing sweet looks and smiles to each other and it is just so fun to be around them.  And let me tell you this couple was so very easy to photograph!     So from the beginning to the grand exit, their wedding was truly a celebration of Love, Family and Friendship.

I absolutely loved the coral flowers and the sea foam bridesmaid dresses.  As you can tell by the pictures the wedding party knew how to have a good time and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating with the happy couple.

I am so happy for  both of you, Phillip and Alaina!  Your beautiful Spanish Oaks Ranch Wedding was such a wonderful celebration and what a great way to start your new journey together!  I thoroughly enjoyed capturing these moments so you can relive your wedding day over and over again.

All the Best to you Both and Enjoy!
With the fire danger being extremely high Sparklers were not an option but I was impressed with how fun the Glow Sticks worked.  What a great idea!

Congratulations Phillip and Alaina!!!

Model Session for H&G Clothing Boutique San Luis Obispo California

Hannah and Marisa were the lucky senior girls that got to model H&G Clothing during their senior portrait session.  H&G is located right downtown San Luis Obispo and they not only have all the latest looks but they have a super friendly staff that is great at finding the right style and accessories for everyone.

We all met at the story and they talked with the girls a little and then picked the outfits they wanted them to wear.  I love the looks they got for these girls!  The rings, bracelets and shoes were so great that a few of the girls just had to buy them.  Next time you stop by there be sure to check out their Accessories!!

This was definitely a WIN WIN…..  Thank you to our lovely models and to H&G!

Hannah from Atascadero High School – looking so amazing!Marisa from Templeton High School – Love the way the wind worked with her hair.  Beautiful! This is my girl – Katherine.  Even though she isn’t quite old enough for senior portraits I just had to let her in on some of the modeling fun and all of those years of being my assistant seem to have paid off.  She looks like a natural to me 🙂

Love this shawl!  This is when being tall really pays off and yep just had to buy that silver bracelet!

Justin and Hannah’s Wedding at Portola Inn Atascadero California

Congratulations to Hannah and Justin!

Another beautiful wedding at one of my favorite venues, Portola Inn in Atascadero.  Hannah and Justin are self proclaimed “Country” through and through but when I saw Hannah’s dress I knew we were in for a touch of elegance too.   The beading, lace and detail on her dress were just exquisite.  The Sunflowers and Lavender added a sunny feel  and I really loved the hand made place cards on the tables.

Enjoy and all the Best to the Newlyweds!
