Alyssa and Andrew – Spanish Oaks Ranch Engagement Session San Luis Obispo California

I met with Andrew and Alyssa on a beautiful Sunday at the amazing Spanish Oaks Ranch in Santa Margarita, California and as you can see they fit in perfect with the rustic, country setting of the ranch.  I’ve been really encouraging my couples to come up with some fun ways to share their lifestyle, interests and personality in their portraits.  I love the chalk writing of the date on the cowboy boots and on saying the bridge.  How fun is the red MGM Convertible too!

I had so much fun hanging out with these two.  It was obvious that they adored each other and they made my job so easy!

On a side note – I’m not one to do a lot of jabbering on and on, on my blog.  I really like the photos to speak for themselves but I do have to appoligize for the long break since my last blog post.  I guess I took the Holiday break a little too serious 🙂  However I have been out shooting and getting some beautiful images.  I am hoping soon to get my website and blog combined to streamline my computer time.  Look for some changes coming up!

Meanwhile enjoy these pictures that truly celebrate the magic of finding “the ONE.”

Newborn Baby Photography – My New Love

So here we are at Christmas time!  A time for hustle, bustle and feeling overwhelmed.  However the true meaning of Christmas is LOVE and what greater love is there than that felt by every family as they welcome their newborn miracle into the world and into their family.

So this morning as I listened to Christmas music and played with Miss C’s beautiful newborn portraits my heart filled with the most joyous feeling!  Looking at this newborn baby made me feel so much hope for the future, so mch love for my family and for this season of year.

I hope that these images will touch your heart also.  May Your Christmas be filled with Love and may you find wonderful ways to share that love this season and all through the New Year!

My Grandmother use to always say Newborn babies smile because they are playing with angels in their dreams……Lately I’ve been so lucky to capture these flickering smiles that truly melt a heart!
So the object is to get the baby’s head proped up on her hands but for Little Miss C  it really wasn’t working but honestly I love having the mom’s hands in this picture.  It gives scale to just how small this baby is and there is a sweet smile on baby’s lips and let’s face it there is no greater image of Love than a mother’s hands.  So like so many times in photography the best images just seem to unfold 🙂

Congratulations to Miss C’s Family!   How wonderful to have a baby in the house at Christmas!  Merry Christmas!

Newborn Twin Boys

Introducing Drake and Nolan!

I love all photography but my heart is especially drawn to newborn portraits.  I love being around babies and I can’t imagine a more wonderful gift I can give a family then to capture images of their tiny miracles!

This was my first experience photographing twins and I have to admit it was a little more complicated than I imagined.  I give all mother and fathers of twins an incredible amount of respect!   But we had a beautiful morning together and despite all the pee and poop we captured some priceless images.

May these little guys bring a smile to your lips and peace to your heart!

Chris and Cara’s Wedding – Vina Robles Vineyard and Paso Robles Inn

Chris and Cara had  beautiful blue skies  for their October wedding day.  Vina Robles Vineyard and Winery was the location of the ceremony and it made for a beautiful backdrop for the “i do’s”.  Then it was off to Paso Robles Inn for a delicious dinner and dancing the night away.

Here on the California Central Coast Fall seems to be a little slow getting started.  Summer lingers and the days stay amazingly warm. And even though the nights get cooler and the grapes, pumpkins and apples begin to ripen it really feels like Summer is still here.   I think this is one of the main reasons why September and October make for such perfect months for weddings!

I first met Chris and Cara during their engagement session and we had such a great session that we ended up adding a third location!  They were so fun to photograph and to be around that I just knew their wedding was going to be amazing and of course it was.

Cara’s gown and French Net veil had a vintage yet chic style that absolutely looked stunning on her.   All the details of the day came together beautifully with the help of Jamie from CJN Event Planning.

Thank you Cara and Chris for the honor of capturing your beautiful wedding!  I know there was a special angel with us that day and in your hearts forever.  May you always be able to turn to each other for support and love just like on your wedding day.  Much laughter and Happiness Always!

Matt and Brittany’s Wedding at Taft Ranch and Barn in Atascadero

It was a beautiful day for a wedding and a prettier bride couldn’t be found!   Sweet and sometimes sly glances kept passing between the two and they were always happy to give another kiss for the camera.

Matt and Brittany love their country roots and so the Taft Ranch and Barn in Atascadero was the perfect location for their wedding and reception.

The couple said their “I Do’s” under a giant Sycamore tree that not only provided nice cool shade for the guests but also provided some beautiful light for the photographs.  It was truly a beautiful day and a great way to start the newlyweds out on their new road together.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs.!!!
