Mary and Paul’s Wedding Paso Robles California

Mary and Paul’s wedding celebration had such a beautiful feeling to it.  Maybe it was because of all of the amazing, personalized touches that were everywhere thanks to Emilie M (Pintrest fans are going to love these pictures). Maybe it was because it was a cool day and everyone was thrilled to be gathered together in a warm club house.  But mostly I think it was because Mary and Paul’s love story is so sweet.  These two truly were destined to come together and really thier love story is the kind that inspires movies.  They both know just how precious it is to have a loving companion by your side and I know I found myself wiping a few tears away throughout the day,

Love is a Gift and this wedding was a true celebration of that!

Wedding Photography Ideas – First Look for the Father of the Bride – Portola Inn Atascadero Wedding

I totally understand why many brides choose to hide from the groom until the ceremony.  I love seeing the emotional impact on the groom and actually for that matter, the whole wedding audience, as the bride appears for the first time in her dress and walks down the aisle.  It is a priceless moment and even the roughest, toughest grooms get misty eyed.

But much to my surprise I have also grown to love the idea of the “First Look”.  We usually set the groom up in a lovely, secluded location and have the bride sneak up from behind him and we get to capture all of the emotions of when they first see each other on their wedding day.  The real magic of the first look is that it gives the bride and groom more time to take in their wedding day together and photographers love it because it gives us more time to take pictures.  Many couples don’t want to keep their guests waiting too long and yet they know the pictures are going to be treasured sooooo thus the “First Look.”

But what about the priceless reaction of the Father of the Bride when he first sees his little girl?  Another priceless moment and while at this Portola Inn wedding I thought WOW we could do the “First Look” with the Dad.  I just loved capturing this.

Another great idea to personalize your wedding!

Happy Birthday – Twin Boys One Year Birthday Cake Bash – Atascadero Family Portrait Photographer

So yesterday was my Birthday and how fun that I got to work on these pictures! How happy do these pictures make you feel?

Although this photo session was high energy with three of us running around like crazy, the pictures are so fun and priceless.  This is actually only half of the session.  We did some other more traditional and fun things but since it’s my birthday week I decided I wanted to share these!

Kids are just too fun and Twins well it is seriously double the fun.   Happy Birthday Baby D and Baby N and Happy Birthday to Me 🙂

Alyssa and Andrew’s Wedding at Spanish Oaks Ranch – Part One

Alyssa and Andrew are cowboy all the way down to their boots.  So Spanish Oaks Ranch in Santa Margarita, California was the perfect setting for their Wedding Day.  With the backdrop of rolling golden hills and majestic oaks, Andrew and Alyssa said I do in the most country, chic of ways.

Alyssa’s gown was absolutely stunning and of course it was perfect that she wore cowgirl boots underneath.  The bridesmaids were a vision of pink loveliness with each sporting a unique pair of boots to add to the charm.  Andrew and his guys were a good looking group too that had plenty of fun while we snapped away.

What a memorable day for these two as they start their new journey together.  I am so thrilled I could capture all of these fun moments for you to look back on and treasure. Do stay tuned for Part 2!
