At a recent photography convention I heard photographer Jesh de Rox talk about his concept of the “Beloved” photography sessions. I would be lying if I didn’t say I had tears streaming down my face for much of the presentation. Here is the concept in a nutshell:
Love that lasts the tests of time –
Love that has weathered the storms of life –
Love that has grown and endures!
Isn’t this the love worth celebrating!
A Beloved photo session celebrates lasting love! And while photographing these couples the photographer takes time to ask them questions about how they fell in love and what they love most about each other now etc. So by the end of the session, the couple not only has beautiful images of them together but often they begin to see each other through fresh eyes. Truly it becomes a celebration of their love!
I just love this concept!!! Photography can be so powerful!
